El Zune Player is El Terrible

zune is garbageSo my bank sends me a line telling me that “I must use my bonus points before I lose them” (a really nice group of people by the way). And I think to myself, okay how about a free Zune player which was one of the items on the list? Huge mistake. I received this piece of garbage in the mail and hated it ever since. It now acts as a coaster and/or paper weight. Has anyone else been suckered into actually owing one of these things? First of all, they are clunky, just about the size of my grandmothers purse, and are not even a halfway decent knock-off of other successful mp3 players.

The screen resolution and pixel detail looks noticeably terrible, the navigation and menu usage is awkward, and there are constant hoops to jump through when transferring music into the device. To be honest, I don’t even know where to start with my complaints about this Microsoft product. All i can say is that I came in with over 4000 songs on my hard drive, and my Zune player left with about only half that amount. The geniuses at Microsoft must have taken all of 5 minutes to produce the design and feel of the player, because it looks like a piece of equipment from 1985. For a while I thought I was listening to HAL from the Kubrik film, 2001 Space Odyssey.

This thing is a piece of junk. Honestly, if anyone can tell me why I should not throw this thing out the window, please drop me a line. I’m thankful for have anything at all, but I’m very disappointed with companies ripping us off with cheap products like this one.

Send the Zune down to Iraq, they can use it to torture Iraqi soldiers and get the truth out of them.
