Every day I realize how money owns me. 95% of the things I do are directly as a result of money. It makes me say or do things that I would not naturally say or do. It makes me want things that I honestly really do not care about. And it makes me value a future that I do not necessarily need or really desire in my heart. It makes me pursue careers or talents that I really don’t have any care for. Now the reality is that this is just life, but it is an interesting reality. All these years I thought that money was obtainable, but the truth is that we are obtainable for money, and we will say or do just about anything to please it.
I think it’s pretty funny that we actually believe our accomplishments and salaries actually mean anything. We are in fact pretty insignificant and forget that we can lose things in the blink of an eye. And without the concept of compassion and giving, we are truly NOTHING. If it were not for family, friends, loved ones, or even strangers around us who constantly give us something whether it be time, money, assistance, advice, etc… we would literally have and be nothing. Life is not all about talents, status, cash flow, fashion, or how well you can do things, but is more about how much we are willing to GIVE to others. Especially when are so blessed ourselves. Wake up.

What’s going on in our society with this obsession of laziness and new ways to NOT walk? Have we lost our minds? We can’t walk anymore? It’s not good enough that we have the biggest or fastest cars, we also need to have the closest parking space every where we go? What happened to walking? What happened to being thankful for the legs that we were blessed with? Do you realize how many people can’t walk and wish they could? And to show how thankful we are for our legs, we find new ways not to use them. God forbid we break a sweat moving our fat a**es from one spot to the next. Is it efficiency or laziness?
And what is this Hollywood obsession with Segways? You need a “Segway” to get around now? Is that where we are headed? As if we haven’t become an obese enough country…now we need another reason not to exercise.
Get up and move a little. Wake up, wake up, wake up.

It seems popular to take a strong position against any given religion these days, but I’ve noticed that this ‘religion bashing’ trend, similar to other routines in life, are nothing more than finely tuned facades. The attack on religion is another brilliant idea that is designed to appear anti-fascist, open minded, and “secular”, but the attitude in fact takes on the exact opposite of these traits. Protesting religions and/or belief systems allows a person to feel they’re involved in some epic battle that holds deep meaning, but this very attitude has become more of a misguided religion in itself than any other religious group out there. And the amusing detail about those who hold extreme stances against the freedom of religion is that they’re simply protesting the very freedom they not only expect, but are practicing by not having a religion themselves. That is the beauty of freedom, we get to believe what we want!
It’s especially painful to hear people wining about religions, churches, and spiritual traditions when the reality is that if they claim to have no religion themselves, they should be the last people on earth concerned with these issues in the first place. Honestly, why put so much energy into it? For example, you won’t find me going around town boycotting Santa Claus and you know why? Because I know he doesn’t exist! So why put your time and energy boycotting churches, the Koran, the Pope, Buddhism, Judaism, Taoism, or anything else “preaching” to you, when you know them to be delusional in the first place?
Let me be clear that I feel it absolutely necessary to protest any form of injustice, corruption, or criminal activity found to be caused by a particular group of religious or cultist psychos, period. But with that being said, remember that there are thousands of murderers, predators, thieves, and criminals on the news each day who all have one thing in common, they don’t kill in the name of religion. They may have destroyed others lives out of passion, jealousy, greed, lust, insanity, or any other list of emotions, but since we often have no religious group to blame for the atrocities, we will just get upset about these injustices and move onto the real perpetrators; religious groups.
What do you think? Do you think people should have the right to practice their religion? What would be the perfect solution to you? Would it be satisfactory for you to have all the churches shut down and any religious texts burned that are not to your liking?

When it comes to music, images, and media, I’m a strong believer in the “less is more” theory. With that being said, I’m constantly blown away by the many successful blogs and websites that remain painfully true to this concept. As an example (and as the inspiration for this post in the first place), I would like to bring to your attention the every infamous and often controversial Drudge Report, which for those of you who aren’t familiar, is a well established, online news publication that was started by a guy named Mike Drudge back in 1994. The site has kept the same general look for years (with the exception of content of course), and talk about the most basic, bland, and as I like to say, BOOTLEG design! The Drudge Report would seriously make a perfect tutorial site on how to place underlined text on a white background (that’s all it is). But as much as I mock the layout or compare it to the 1980’s MS DOS programs, this this site gets attention! It gets more attention than most sites on the web, certainly more than mine ever will, and probably more yours for that matter.
I’m not sure if the attention is panning out for them when translating visitors into revenue dollars, but the last time I was on the site, I noticed the notorious “visit our advertisers” text near the top of the page. The notable detail I found particularly amusing was that this awkwardly positioned banner was prompting me to buy a Lexus. Ha-Ha!
Me and a Lexus? I don’t think so. Luxury car? Not in my vocabulary really, but on second thought, no matter what brand it was, why would I make that type of a decision after being promoted from a tacky banner on a news site? WHAT? I came here to read the news, not connect with a car salesmen. I don’t mind supporting sites that carry substance and content, but what do they expect me to do with this ad? Theres a better chance of me buying a pet rock through a banner that reads “i hate you”on it!
I guess their geotargeting may have been off that day or just behind, but it was pure comedy gold! Thanks for the material Drudge, I owe you one.

I’m getting so sick of all the hype, gossip, and arrogant minded nonsense in media these days that I often find it difficult to collect my thoughts and write them down in a logical order. That may be one reason why you’re reading this in the first place.
Anyways, I would like to point out how fed up I am with the variety of mainstream clowns that are generally accepted as “gurus” or “accomplished” individuals, but in reality look and act more like clowns that make their country look like a group of idiots. Anyone with a non-robotic brain is very aware that they don’t speak for everyone (or even for the majority). I’m talking primarily about news/television stars, pop-music artists, and an increasing amount of politicians (client #9). With the praise and kudos that gets thrown around on a daily basis to these morons, it’s easy to forget one simple fact about these people…..They’re just people! That’s it. Flesh, blood, bone, some brain, and are individuals who may or may not have been in the right place at the right time to achieve their wealth and popularity. These people are fallible. Has that fact sunken into your memory yet? They also, like you, are usually interested in one thing, themselves.
Take the news for example, I often get confused as to what I’m watching when I attempt to get through five minutes of news coverage (commercials with news interruptions). But honestly, is it news or a gossip show? Perhaps a tutorial on how to be attractive or perhaps it’s simply a fashion show? With the exception of a few headstrong personalities out there, there seems to be a lot of loud mouth, flashy, and narrow-minded jack balls that are often portrayed as icons in each form of media. And if they are not famous from doing something stupid, you can guarantee that the news and media outlets will make them famous as soon as humanly possible (while benefiting first of course). Did anyone realize that we can’t simply learn details of a tragic shooting anymore without being fed this marketable story about how “crazy”, “disconnected”, and “disturbed” the killer was, as if we could not determine that useful information for ourselves. Why focus so much time on that and not the everyday victims in life? And why are we obsessed with having every detail of some psychopaths life as if it benefits society, when all it really does is helps feed our curious, narrow, and gossip-wired minds. It’s all a big sham. It’s all there to feed our very lazy and entertainment focused minds, and we are giving into it, hook, line, and sinker.
A prime example of nonsensical media actions, I recently saw a terrible news story where a mother was being interviewed regarding the disappearance of her daughter. The ridiculous thing about this piece was that the particular news channel decided that it was necessary to display a still photo of the victims underwear (for several minutes at a time). My question for them is this, WHY! What the hell is wrong with the media and how does this nonsense help anything at all? What has happened to good fashion common sense? It seems we accept this nonsense without question and then praising hacks who claim to be professionals at what they do.
We fight through difficult circumstances every day as a society just to survive. Is this how we want to be represented and remembered as human beings when future generations look back? Why desire to be remembered as a bunch of vacant, spoiled, vane, and ignorant sheep who just do things out of basic instinct and not logic?
Regardless of what they do, they do NOT represent me. And life is not all about shock-value, money, possessions, or ratings. I’m all for prospering in life, enjoying life and being proud of our accomplishments, but why is it fashionable to behave with so little regard to logic?
Think for yourself, learn for yourself, and stop relying on others to build your reality and personality. The lobbyist, pop-icons, and dirty politicians may not give their ego a vacation, but I you can still give yours one.

I’m sick of seeing these fake smile wielding, plastic hair sporting, monkey suit wearing, removed from reality, blank facial expression having news anchors. Seriously are these real people or cartoons? Where do they come from? I have a hard time believing they have real feelings or have an understanding of details within the stories they report every day. They ask questions like, “what does it feel like to lose your mother”, as if they don’t know the answer to that idiotic question.
I do admit, these overpaid news anchors do a great job of report the fluff stories with expert style! But if I really needed to know how many pies where baked by a given town, I would rather turn on the cooking channel.

I’m sick of hearing commentary from television and radio personalities pronouncing: “Is the country ready for a black or female president?”. This tempts me to lose all faith in humanity. Just another tactic to push the general public into focusing more time on controversy and separation, and less time on truth or substance. But I’m often amazed that the very people asking these asinine, cliche, questions are considered “well educated” adults, and I question if they realize what is actually being said within this statement? Every time people say this, they are saying that mainstream America cares what uneducated racists, sexists, and fascists have to say about the topic (as if we don’t already know) . Is there truly a need to ask the opinion of fools, when you already know they will give a foolish answer? And notice that they always ask “Is America Ready” and never ask “Are You ready“. I guess they would rather ask people to speak for millions of others, instead of incriminating themselves as an ancient minded racist. I say that entertaining this question at any level is arrogant. As if anyone knows the minds and hearts of over 200 million Americans. Get real. Here is one way to put this into perspective, imagine that today you heard a news personality say, “are we ready for a black baseball player?”, you would probably be awestruck and hopefully disgusted. In my opinion, there should be an equally shocking reaction to the stupid question “are we ready for a minority or female president”.
And what is with this “ready for change” nonsense? When was the last time that all of America joined together and simultaneously agreed on a social change? Things often change without our permission, so it’s foolish to assume that we choose when to be “ready” for something new. We don’t make important decisions based on what foolish, disconnected, racist, fascists, or misogynistic groups think, so why make our voting decisions based on their input?
And furthermore, don’t forget the countless minority groups living in the United States right now that are not even discussed in this topic. In 10 years, for example, what if a Japanese, Mexican, or Chinese American citizen runs for presidential office. What about their rights and dignity? Will the media give us the same line of “Is the country ready for this?”. I’m confident that they will feed us this line for as long as we are willing to tolerate it.
I’m one to admit that there are several qualities to dislike about a person other than minute details such as skin tone and gender? Do you realize that most of the people you really dislike, are those closest to you! (bosses & in-laws) Not to say that racism and prejudice is not a huge issue in this country, but we only feed this monster when we entertain nonsensical questions like this and pass it off as intellectual conversation.
Wake up America, we’re not living in a time of segregated water fountains and seating arrangements. It may not have been a long time ago, but the majority of us know what is right, what is wrong, and we know that skin color and gender means absolutely NOTHING.
Regardless of people trying to focus on how racist everyone is, the truth is that we have come a long way, but the excuse of asking “Is the Country ready”, is simply a cop out. Think of new ways to stimulate our minds, we have enough problems…give us some solutions!
Propaganda 101.
